Caribbean communities, both at home and in the diaspora, are prone to co-existing health conditions that can often be attributed to prolonged stress caused by adverse personal, professional or political conditions. Prolonged stressful events can eventually affect learning and development. The implementation of certain markers such as mindfulness, implicit listening and improved communication can make significant differences in stress reduction, leading to stable relationships and a long generative life.
A healthy and functioning society provides a sense of trust and safety for its people, allowing an existing community to thrive. Challenges such as poverty, inadequate education, poor physical and mental health tend to break down community structures. Our organization hopes to combat these challenges by providing assistance in the form of policy guidance and professional training to help keep Caribbean communities strong, to the benefit of all its people.
We aim to support and promote education in the Caribbean Islands by improving under-performing schools through services to Caribbean people of all ages and skill levels – from the root to the boughs. Our organization hopes to bring together interested persons to contribute resources geared towards improving educational outcomes.
